So much has happened with the Steelers and we have yet to play a game this season! We needed to apply for an extension to be able to fill a team D-day was Friday September 8th - the season started on the 9th. We were given a bye the first week to see what we could do! All I can say is wow! By Thursday night we had doubled our roster and we able to field a team. We worked really hard to bring football back to Ladysmith after a little hiatus! There was defiantly blood sweat and a whole lots of tears involved. We had some amazing parents who helped us to get the word out and brought friends along for the ride. We have met some amazing people that want to help us out. We found a great young coach that the team has bonded with. Things are looking up. We are so excited to play our first game on Saturday in Saanich! We are focusing on having fun! Home opener coming on September 23 vs Westshore at 5:00 at Forest Field. We are hoping that everyone comes and gives these young players a whole bunch of support. Go Steelers!
